Team Practices
It is our goal to have practice begin the week of September 13th or 20th. Practices will be scheduled once or twice a week in the evening. Practice days and times are determined by the coach's schedule and gym availability. Typically, we try to schedule 4th-6th graders from 6-7:30 pm and 7th-8th graders from 7:30-9 pm. Practice locations depend on gym availability from Poudre School District.
Fees for Junior Season
Fees include:
league fees for both fall and winter seasons,
gyms for practice once or twice a week during both seasons, coach compensation, equipment,
insurance to rent gyms and administrative fee.
Uniforms are priced separately as many wear their uniforms from season to season (or pass along between siblings and neighbors).
Final fees will be available at tryouts.
To help in your planning it is our goal to keep junior program investments as low as possible.
In 2009 we were able to reduce fees from 2008 and our goal in 2010 is to keep fees the same as 2009 or again reduce them.
Fees for 4th-5th grade girls ranged from $240-$345, depending on what leagues the team played in.
The fee for uniforms was $15 for t-shirts or $50 for 2-piece uniform ($35 for a jersey and $15 for the shorts).
Uniform depends the league of play.
Girls Schedule
For 4th graders, they play 3on3 format in a Fort Collins Girls League which typically plays on Saturdays (usually afternoons). For 5th graders, there are two options. Playing 4on4 in the Fort Collins Girls League or playing 5on5 in the Power to Play's Fall league. The coaches will decide the best fit for the team based on skill level.
Payment Options
Junior fees can be paid in full at the first practice or it may be divided into two payments. RMYS accepts checks but not credit cards.
Fundraising Opportunities
RMYS is able to offer three fundraising opportunities to help families pay their Junior team investment. See the Fundraiser Info webpage for details that apply to all teams.
